Joseph Palmer Obituary
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Joseph H. Palmer Sr., 90, of Saratoga Springs (formerly of Ravena), passed away peacefully at home, on October 21, 2025. Born in Albany and raised in Coeymans, Joe was the beloved son of Joseph S. and Josephine (Mastriano) Palmer; and the devoted husband of Patricia A. (Jenkins) Palmer, for 70 years.
Joe was a graduate of Ravena High School and Niagara University. He owned and operated Palmer Insurance Agency in Ravena for many years before moving to Saratoga Springs.
Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Joseph H. Palmer Jr. (Janine) and Denise De Wolf (Gerard); grandchildren, Ashley Palmer Thomasey (Doug), Joseph H. Palmer III, Kaitlin De Wolf, Todd De Wolf (Carrie), and Jonathan De Wolf (Ilona); and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his sister, Louise Persico; and brother-in-law, Salvatore Persico.
Services will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, N.Y., on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, beginning with a period of visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Circles of Mercy of Rensselaer, N.Y., in Joe's name will be appreciated.
