Joseph Perretta Obituary

GUILDERLAND Joseph L. Perretta Sr., 66, died suddenly Friday, July 8, 2005 at his home. Mr. Perretta was born in Albany, N.Y. to the late Joseph C. Perretta and Mary Rose Aquino Perretta. Mr. Perretta was the former owner and operator of a long established family business, Dan's Cleaners, on Lark Street, Albany. He enjoyed traveling, horse racing and was an automobile collector and enthusiast. Mr. Perretta is survived by his sons, Joseph L. Perretta Jr. (Sherry Kirkpatrick) of Albany and Louis Perretta of Albany; his brother, Ernest (Ginny) Perretta of Guilderland; his grandchildren, Andrea and Anthony Perretta; a niece and nephew; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, William Perretta. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 9:00. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
