Joseph T. Ruffalo

Ruffalo, Joseph T. WEST SAND LAKE Joseph T. Ruffalo, 86 of West Sand Lake, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Evergreen Commons following an extended illness. Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., Joe was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Kauril Ruffalo and the husband of the late Louise Ruffalo. Joe was raised and educated in Westchester County in New York. He proudly served in the Navy from 1954-1958. After being released from the Navy, Joe started his career with Con Edison where he was a lineman. He retired in 1986, and relocated to Greentown, Pa. where he resided until 2016, when he relocated to West Sand Lake. Joe had worked for the Tru-Value Hardware in East Greenbush until he became ill. Joe held a pilot's license and enjoyed flying, and golfing. Survivors include his children by his first wife, Joseph (Susan) Ruffalo of Mahopac, N.Y., Regina (Thomas) Cristo of Sand Lake, Roberta (David) Gaudreau of Brewster, N.Y., and Michael Ruffalo of Katonah, N.Y.; his stepchildren, Wendy, Jennifer and Richard; his brother, Thomas (Barbara) Ruffalo of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with two on the way, and several nieces and nephews.
