I remember the night Josh's picture came on tv. My mouth dropped & I had no words to say. I was in complete shock. You see pictures of people on tv all the time when they go missing, but you never think they would be someone you personally know & grew up with.
Joshie, im so glad your back even though its not the same. but i know your in a special place now & I can only imagine you having a ball up there, you always did no matter where you were!

I was saddened to hear about your son, I was hopping for the best for your family. It is the hardest thing in the world to loss a child no matter what age they are. We loss our 13 year old son suddenly also, we didn't know what happened. If you need to talk please contact me, anytime, even if it's a year from know. Keep strong Joshua would want that.

My heart went out to you the first time I heard of your son's missing. My heart greaves with you now that he was found. Especially with no sound answers why. I share the pain with you family at this time. Nobody should ever have to endure what you have.
I cried when I heard Mr. Szostak on the radio today. Just looking for answeres. You know your son and I don't know why others can't get you answers.

Like the old song goes.."If there's a Rock & Roll Heaven, they gotta have a helluva band"; with "Stag" spinning the discs the angels are dancing their wings off!! We had the pleasure of knowing Josh when we lived in Albany. He was a very sweet & loveable "big kid" (always smiling & laughing). As a Mom of two boys- from Latham- close to Josh's age, and one who has lost a sibling tragically as well, I feel your pain, and know how difficult this time truly is.I worried for Josh like he was my own, and my heart aches for your loss. We have been praying for Josh to come home to his loving family since he was reported missing. May God's Grace fall onto you during this most difficult time, a period where time seems to stand still . So many people who you don't even know sending you support and prayers,We hope that gives you some strength. Ten years ago we buried a daughter(sister),hopes and dreams were buried with her. After some 24's hours have passed ,we know a sense of peace knowing she is safe,and loved being held in the Palm of His hand.
Josh is soaring on Eagle's Wing's looking after those he loved the most.

Although I do not know your family and I did not have the honor to know your beloved Joshua, I felt I needed to come here and write something.
I do not know the right words to say. From Day 1 hearing about this wonderful young man gone missing, I prayed for his safe return. I can't imagine the anguish and pain that a family endures when their loved one is missing.
It is tragic that this ending had to be.
Please know that although your son was missing from you all that time; he was in The Lord's hands. He was holding Joshua tight.
Please try to hold onto the fact that Joshua is in a beautiful place where he will watch over you and one day you will be reunited with him.

It is so incredibly difficult to find the right words to say that might ease your pain. The first ones that come to mind are "I'm sorry." No one should have to endure what you have had to over the past four months and you are in my prayers every single day. To Christina, who I had as a student at Blue Creek...know that I am always here if you need another friend or shoulder to lean on. God bless you all. As many others I followed this case very closely because I am a mother of 3 around the same age as Josh. I hoped for a much better ending but as time went on it seemed hard to keep up hope. He waited on me at Hannaford and was always smiling and joking. He will be missed by many people.

Dear Szostak Family,
My deepest condolences for your loss. I'm not sure you remember me but I dated Josh's cousin Mike for some time. Everytime we went into Hannaford Josh was there working hard and ALWAYS had a smile on his face for us. He truly was a great person. It's a shame that this ended the way it did. Just know that he is now resting in heaven with God and Mike.

Since Josh's disapperance, he has been constantly included in my prayers. I prayed that he would be brought home to you. There is no greater loss in life than death. Szostak Family: I didn't know Josh that well. I was a member of the Quake with him. In my first semester of being in the station, I was at a road show, and I remember Josh being very helpful in explaining how to use everything. He put others before he put himself, he was a great person, sorry for your loss. He would always jump at the opportunity to fill shows, he was a great person.

My daughter worked with Joshua at the radio station in Plattsburgh and mentioned him many times. She tells me what a wonderful person he was. He has been in our thoughts during this difficult time, and we have all prayed for him since he was missing. He and your family have been on our prayer list at our church. Although I didn't know Joshua, my daughter has shown me pictures of him and shared many stories. He had so much to offer, was so full of life, and he will be missed by friends and family. I did not know your son Joshua personally, but in another sense I feel as if I did as I have followed the story of him since it first hit the news.
I am a Security Officer for the NYS Department of Health and in doing my patrols I often recall seeing your sons missing poster posted in our halls here at work.
When off duty I would often look to see if I saw your son anywhere, as his face is etched in my mind.

I have been following all the news reports regarding your son and wanted so badly for him to be found alive and well. Everytime I think of that night he went missing, I realize it could have been any one of my four children who also socialize with friends in that same vicinity. Since Dec. 23rd, I have shed tears and prayed for Joshua and his family every day. Today, I shed tears not only for them, but for the rest of the world, because we have lost a very talented and promising young man who had great things to offer this world. While we did not know Joshua, our heart weeps for the loss of his young and vibrant life and for the pain his family now suffers. While it is of small consolation, at least he lived a life doing what he loved and lived it to the fullest. Please also know that his death has impacted many in the area and has taught us to hug our kids more often and to appreciate each day we have with them. May God hold you all close to his heart and please know we offer up our prayers to the entire family. Joshua is at peace with God (and playing some music as well!!!).

To Josh's Family,
Although we have never met, we are so thankful that your son Josh was found. We pray that this will bring closure to the family. I couldn't help but marvel at his accomplishments at such a young age. You have so much to be proud of. We have been following your tragedy on the news for so long and we are praying that God will give you comfort through this most difficult time. Keep Josh's memories close to your heart and he will live on in your heart for ever.

The Szostak family,
So many people that never knew the greatness of Josh have signed this book. I am also one of those. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Josh, but please know that he has been in my prayers since the news first hit of his disappearance. I am so very sorry for your loss and I will keep all of you in my prayers.
