DELMAR - Judith W. Flannery, 81, entered Eternal Life, Friday, November 28, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kingston, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Sheppard White.
Judy graduated from The College of Saint Rose, and earned her Masters Degree from UAlbany. She taught at The Academy of the Holy Names for 24 years and at the Mater Christi School for five years.
Judy was well loved and had many friends. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed her book club, her birthday club, and her weekly sip and pray.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kyran J. Flannery Jr.; loving mother of Susan Flannery Huffman, and her husband, Minor, of Summit, NJ, Kristin Flannery Barnes, and her husband, Michael, of Delmar, N.Y., and the late Erin Flannery Pizzo; she also enjoyed the special companionship of James Kaufman for the last eight years; cherished grandmother of Emily, Conor and Raymond Huffman, Taylor (Justin), Justin (Alexa) and Kieran Barnes, and Aidan and Kyra Pizzo; sister of Robert White (Denise), and the late Joseph White; five nieces and nephews survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Judy's family, Sunday, November 30, 2025 3 to 6 p.m., at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany, N.Y. 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only.
Funeral services, Monday, December 1, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Christ the King Church, Westmere, N.Y., where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, N.Y., immediately following the Mass.
