Julianne McMahon Obituary

McMahon, Julianne M. MECHANICVILLE Julianne M. McMahon, 68 of the Kennedy Apartments, died unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on September 3, 2021. She had recent heart troubles. Born in St. Albans, Vt. on August 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Margaret Martin. A hairdresser most of her life, Julie worked for various salons throughout the area, most recently at Fantastic Sam's, Clifton Park. She enjoyed camping at the lake with her family, the outdoors in general, and time spent with her family. She also cherished her grandchildren and loved being with them. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa McMahon (Kenneth Proper); grandchildren, Rachel Rando and Anthony Russo; her sister, Alana Jarvis; niece, Emily Frank; and nephews, Benjamin and Luke Frank. She was predeceased by her 23-year-old son, Joshua McMahon, who died as a result of an auto accident in June of 2005. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 12, from 1-3 p.m. at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St, Mechanicville. Private burial will be in the Hudson View Cemetery alongside her son Joshua. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), 199 Water St., 11th Floor, New York, NY, 10038.
