Julio Aliwalas Obituary
GUILDERLAND - Julio L. Aliwalas M.D., 86, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the St. Peter's Hospital Hospice Care Unit, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was a devoted and beloved husband to his wife of 61 years, Emma; to their four sons, Francisco, Julio, Ricardo and Edward. He relished being father-in-law to Helen Bolivar Aliwalas and Ritsuko Yamaguchi Aliwalas. He was fond of his sister, Leoncia Dizon and many nieces and nephews in the Philippines. He found much joy in being grandfather to Jonathan, Lauryn and Rachel Aliwalas and Taiga Yamaguchi Aliwalas; and uncle to Josefina Aliwalas.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen Rd., Schenectady, N.Y. 12303. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 p.m. He will then be privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorials be directed to Christ Child Society of St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Schenectady N.Y. are welcome. Dear Dr. Emma Aliwalas,
I am surprised and saddened to learn of the loss of your dear and devoted husband, Dr. Julio Aliwalas. May his soul rest in peace with God Eternal. Fond are the memories shared on Washington Avenue. May you be blessed with good health, patience and fortitude to sustain you during this difficult time. During good times and bad times we must not forget that God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent and He knows best and His Will must be done.
Dr. Emma, as you continue on your path in life, may it be Bright with His Light, and may new experiences allow you to stockpile many happy and lasting memories. May God's peace be with you.

Rest in peace, dear friend! Thank you for the lively conversations we´ve shared whenever I visited you and Emma. You had so many challenging questions about our faith and about our God that it boggled my mind. Well, now that you are with our Lord, ask away all your questions and maybe, I will hear rumblings above because you will be jumping with joy with God´s answers! You will be sorely missed but you are in a better place now, free of worries, pain and suffering. Rest in the peace and joy in heaven with all the saints and holy angels.

Rest peacefully, Julio. Heaven has gained an angel, and I know you´re watching over us with God. God called you home. I trust in His plan and thank Him for the time we shared. You may be gone from this world but I know you´re resting safely with the Lord. Rest in paradise with Tatang, Ima, Auring, Aida, Ondic, Constan, Patring, Mario and Junior.
