I´ve thought of June often over the past year; she was such a roll model in so many ways! Thinking of her brings a smile to my face!

June was full of the spirit (and occasionally some mischief.) She had a deep faith that shined through everything she did. She served on the Upstate New York Synod Council when I was elected Bishop and was strongly supportive of the synod's ministry through her active involvement and her prayers. It was a privilege to have known her and to have shared in the gospel ministry with her.

June was such an amazing person! She was in the forefront of women´s leadership in the Lutheran Church. Devout, sincere, with a great sense of humor! She is woven into so much of Prince of Peace´s church history. I have so many fond memories of her! She was kind enough to rent out her condo in Naples, Florida for many years, and my friend Karen Stenzel and I had many wonderful memories from staying there. June has left an amazing legacy; she will be greatly missed.

Patti,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mother´s passing. I understand that you spent a great amount of time with her of lately in Naples. I remember June as a very strong woman living life to its fullest even frequenting the gym as often as she could right up to the very end. June was very lucky to have such a dedicated daughter to look after her. Losing a parent is never easy and I hope that you find peace of mind soon. Prayers for you and your family.
