Katherine Kobylar Obituary

Kobylar, Katherine Fiaschetti WATERFORD Katherine Fiaschetti Kobylar of Lea Ave., passed away peacefully Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterford she was a lifelong resident here and was the daughter of the late Mariano and Maria Scarchilli Fiaschetti. She was educated in Waterford schools and graduated in the 1940's. Kay had been employed at the former Cluett & Peabody Co. in Troy and retired in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Kay enjoyed gardening and doing yard work and was an immaculate housekeeper. She could be found each morning doing her daily ironing. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Michael Kobylar. She is the sister of the late Larry Fiaschetti (Sally), Rose Charbonneau (Art), Albert Fiaschetti (Helen) and John Fiaschetti (Rita). Several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive. She was also preceded in death by her first husband John P. McAleavy. Kay's family would like to extend special thanks for the compassionate care provided by Saratoga Hospice especially to Angel, Colleen and Nicole, as well as to her caregiver Maritza and her niece Gail. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of her family. Those who wish may make contributions to Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866.
