Kenneth Whiting Obituary

SCHENECTADY Kenneth E. Whiting Jr., 71, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003. Mr. Whiting was born on April 16, 1931 in Troy, N.Y., son of the late Kenneth and Pearl Southwick Whiting Sr. Mr. Whiting was a mover, working at Whiting Movers in Altamont. Mr. Whiting was predeceased by one sister, Hazel Oliver. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Dunican Whiting Jr.; five sons, Kenneth, Mike, Rodney, Randall and Richard Whiting; three daughters, Laura Walters, Penny Whiting and Pearl Bellrose; four brothers, George, William, Robert and Lawrence Whiting; two sisters, Margie Zarzicski and Shirley Bheem. He also leaves behind 37 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Sunday, January 5, 2003 from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery in the spring. Contributions can be made to the Open Bible Baptist Church, 1312 Central Ave., Colonie 12205.

I consider it a privilege to have been able to get to know Kenneth in the last few years. His love for Sara and his acceptance of Joe and me was evident right from the start. We will miss him.
