Although I only knew her briefly at Battle Mountain from the World Human Powered Speed Challenge I can say that she was always a joy to talk with. The energy that she had could not be matched. I still can't believe she is gone. My condolences go out to her family. It was a pleasure to have met such a wonderful person. If more people were like her this world would be a much better place.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I am a helper at the bike event. I've only known her a few years. She has moved mountains to help us. I will particularly miss her funny insightful and clever conversation.

I'm a member of the Human Powered Vehicle competitors who meet annually in Battle Mountain to race high speed fully enclosed bicycles. Laura was a wonderful person to work with. I always looked forward to seeing her every year! She radiated her love for people and she worked very hard to make our event special for Battle Mountain and for our international group of athletes and innovators. We will miss her laughter and her "bright eyes and sweet smile". Our sincere condolences to Laura's many friends and family.
Carole Leone, Team Primal and International Human Powered Vehicle Association.

My heart breaks for this beautiful life that was taken so suddenly! Rest in Peace, Laura!
