Oh dear. I am so sorry to hear that Larry has passed. I had the privilege and joy to be in a Schenectady based jug band - Mother´s Own Good Time- and Larry was a fantastic guitarist in the group. Always warm, friendly and amusing he had a tremendous musical ability and knowledge. I feel really sad today now that the Angels have laid him away. But I am so happy to read about the success he made of his life.

I was so sad to hear about Larry's passing. He was not only a valued colleague and coworker, but a good friend. He was a pleasure to work with; he knew his stuff and when things looked bleak, his indefatigable good humor carried the day. He always did the right thing, even when it wasn't the easiest thing. I valued his friendship so much, I invited him and his wife Jane to our daughter's wedding, on the Captain JP cruise on the Hudson in 1989. Please accept my very sincerest condolences on your loss. He was a big man, in every sense of the word, and I'm sure his passing will leave a big space in your lives. I'm so sorry.

Jane, my wife and I express our deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your husband Larry. Larry was my manager in the early nineties. He was a great friend and mentor who made me aware of Empire State College and supported me to finish my degree in business administration. He was well respected by all the people working for him in Latin America. Larry was a very compassionate man and respected by many of us who knew him. RIP, Sir.

Although we have lived far apart recently I will miss Larry remembering the good time we all spent. A coworker that I highly respected we once spent a day or two in Calcutta India working for GE. I have wonderful memories of times with Larry on the various golf courses. We were neighbors in the Rosedale community in Bradenton where we shared social events particularly at Janes great parties.

My friend stood tall in this life and he will be missed by so many left behind.

My sincere condolences to Jane, Lauren, Charlie and Danny

Jane and Family
I will always be grateful for the friendship you and Larry showed me just when I needed it. It was Larry who pointed out to me how much better I seemed after I met Mary. We thank you for inviting us into your home. I always enjoyed talking to Larry. We didn't agree on some things but he always took time to listen and discuss both sides of an issue. He made the world a better place. We could use a lot more people like Larry. Requiescat in pace.

What can be said about a man who answers the phone at 5 am on New Year's morning and says yes we can speak with his wife. We explained I was in labor and wanted her to go to Schenectady to the hospital with us. Jane talked us into going to Saratoga Hospital where I gave birth shortly after we got there. That started a friendship of over 50 years with this man and his wife and family. We were sorry when they moved to Florida but kept in touch over the years. He will be missed.

First time I met Larry was on the " flag Football " field in Schenectady playing for the GE Marketeers. Played on the line with Larry, Chuck Castine and Vince Patterson while trying to not get trampled by them. Great times in the early '70's. Great times !!!

We lived next door to each other for 30 years in Saratoga. Both of us were always working on our homes. Larry always said when we moved he would follow which he did to Florida. I enjoyed watching him build his plane down here after we picked it up. Linda and I have had many enjoyable times with Larry and Jane over the years and will miss Larry. We were glad that we had the opportunity to visit with Larry just before he went north for the final time.

Jane & Family
What to say when a good friend passes? We shared so many memories over the years. Memories of our trips and travels all over the world will last forever. Larry was a one-of- a kind. He was one of the smartest people I’ve ever known. He was a great trivia partner. We will remember his biggest project in retirement moving from flying model planes to building an actual airplane. He could carry on a conversation with anyone. Then there was his unorthodox golf skills. For years he picked up puts of 5’ or more. Or he would “rake”them in the hole. Now he has a stricter enforcer in Heaven where he will surely find a game. He was always a caring husband, father and grand father as our many conversations attest to. Our best wishes to Jane and the family.

He called me "Probie" as in provisional when I worked for him as a trainee in LSTG and he kept that moniker for me forever. I remember when he was living in Mexico and I was occasionally traveling there. There was always something he needed, but I especially remember the request for a toaster - a toaster ! Of course I brought it. A few trips to Spain also come to mind, and we had some good times at the Plaza Mayor in Madrid and Bilbao.

What a guy. A great mentor to me and many many others. We all looked up to Larry (not only because he was very tall !!) but for his experience and advice. I'm glad I knew him. My sympathies to the family.
