Leo Jillisky Obituary

Jillisky, Leo R. Jr.
STAFFORD, Va. - Leo R. Jillisky Jr., 80, of Stafford, Va., entered into eternal rest at home on October, 10, 2025. Born in Troy, N.Y., on July 28, 1945. He was the son of the late Leo and Frances (McCaffrey) Jillisky.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maureen McDonough Jillisky; and four children, Wendy (Jeff) Turner, Cassopolis, Mich., Stephanie (Cory) Swartz, Granger, Ind., Robert (JoAnna) Jillisky, Fredericksburg, Va., and Donald Jillisky, Stafford, Va. Eight grandchildren, Kyle Turner, Matthew (Leanne) Turner, Ashten (Brett) Stein, Kiley Jillisky, Cody Rakes, Brittany (Adrian) Rakes, Gabriella (James) Rapoza, and Montana Swartz; and three great-grandchildren. Leo was also survived by one sister, Mary Pignato; and two brothers, Donald (Nancy) Jillisky and William (Belinda) Jillisky; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He graduated from Coronado High School, Coronado, Calif., in 1963, and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y.
Leo served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and retired at the rank of CWO5 in 2000. He then worked for D.o.D. at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, on Fort Belvoir, Va., until retiring in 2013.
Funeral services will be on November 6, 2025, at 9 a.m., at United States Marine Memorial Chapel, 3251 Embry Loop, Quantico, Va. 22134, with burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., at National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, Va. 22172, with full military honors.
