Lillian Sasso Obituary

Sasso, Lillian G. ALBANY Lillian G. Sasso, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, September 12, 2011 at her home in West Albany. She was born on May 20, 1935, in Albany to Sarah and Joseph Benson. Lillian was a hair stylist and an expert seamstress. She loved to watch her Yankees and also enjoyed bus trips to Turning Stone Casino for bingo and the slots and betting on the horses at Saratoga. Lillian is survived by her children, Leonard J. Sasso Jr., Karen Sasso, Deborah Langenbach, and Michelle (Cushin) Sasso; and her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Cody Langenbach and Allie Cushin. She is also survived by four siblings; Victor and Marshall Benson, Edythe Rosenblum and Cecile Papell. She was prede-ceased by her husband of 50 years, Leonard J. Sasso Sr. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County. Condolences may be sent to 11 Admiral St., Albany, NY 12205. We would like to express our sincerest thanks to her home health aides and friends, Alisha Jason and Amanda Sennicks, for their loving and compassionate care of Mom. We will always remember the kindnesses you showed Mom. Special thanks also to Dr. Samantha Ludwig and Diane both of whom treated our mom with compassion and respect for her wishes; and thanks to Alice Baker of the Community Hospice for her compassionate care.
