Lloyd Proctor Obituary
WYNANTSKILL - Cream of the crop, salt of the earth, shy, naive and innocent Lloyd D. Proctor Jr. passed away suddenly on May 23, 2023, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his children. He was one day from his 74th birthday.
Born in Cohoes, Lloyd was the son of the late Lloyd D. Proctor Sr. and the late Lillian Murray Proctor, and the beloved husband of the late Georgiana Wilday Proctor.
Lloyd grew up in Poestenkill and was a 1967 graduate of Averill Park High School. His working career found him driving truck for area trucking companies including Ashline Trucking in Watervliet. He had his own business for a time, All Week Movers, then drove bus for CDTA before retiring from Safe Flight Auto Glass. Lloyd was a certified scuba diver and worked with area law enforcement doing recoveries in area waterways.
Lloyd was the father of Tammy (Lester III) Douglas of Pleasantdale, Georgett (John) Neeld of Orange Park, Fla., Cathy (David Fredericks) Lemner of Poestenkill, Lloyd (Christa) Proctor III of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and the late Olin DeWitt, Tina DeWitt DiNovo and James DeWitt. Lloyd was the grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 26, to Lloyd's home at 9 Hillcrest Ave., Wynantskill to share in celebrating in his life.

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Lloyd "Butch" Proctor. Butch, as we knew him, was a good friend and loyal employee to our dad, Ed Ashline, of Ashline Moving & Storage, for many years. May he forever rest in peace.
