Zawistowski, Loraine H.
HALFMOON - Loraine H. Zawistowski, 88, of Sparrowhawk Circle, passed away peacefully, Monday December 1, 2025, at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Lauren and Mary Kawola Brown. She was a 1956 graduate of Waterford High School, and was a member of the Senior Choir, a cheerleader, played drums in the school band and was a member of the cast in the senior play.
Loraine had been employed as a cashier and clerk at Country Liquor, McDonald's, The Country Store, and Hallmark, all in Clifton Park.
She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford, and a member of the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 Auxiliary, and Halfmoon Seniors. She enjoyed traveling and doing jigsaw and word puzzles.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 65 years, Raymond Zawistowski; her loving children, Mark Zawistowski (Bernadette), of Gansevoort, and Brian Zawistowski, of Cohoes. She is the sister of the late Joan Kimble; and proud grandmother of Kayleigh Flynn Zawistowski.
Funeral services will be Saturday, at 9:30 a.m., from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford, and at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m.
