Lou and I worked together the last years of my teaching. He was so helpful to me. He taught me to use the Windows computer system. I was an Apple only user until he taught me the new system. He was patient. We also enjoyed preforming music accompanying the "dulcimer group" of Madisonville. I'm still not believing this. Quite a shock. Love and sympathy to the remaining family members in New York.

Darlene and I are grieved to hear of Louis' passing. He was a learned, brilliant person and very musically talented. He often spoke of his Ukrainian descent and the persecutions they had endured. He moved from Midway, TX to New York to settle his father and brother's estate and we had earnestly hoped he would return but God often has other plans. I believe he was the last member of his family in the US? We have missed him at the Tuesday evening gathering at Texas Burger and now he joins the long list of departed members.

I worked with Mr. Popowskyj at the school in Texas. He was a nice man and would do anything for you, kind of friend. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. Lou is someone I will never forget. -Lisa
