M. Stoddard Obituary

Stoddard, M. Diane CHARLOTTEVILLE, N.Y. M. Diane Stoddard, 56, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at home, following a brief illness. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Loretta E. Finn Hess and the beloved wife of Joseph T. Stod-dard. Following high school, Diane was employed in her father's businesses until she started her family and became a full time mom. Diane and her family relocated to Charlotteville in Schoharie County and she had resided there for the last thirteen years. She will be greatly missed. Survivors besides her beloved husband, include her cherished children, Christopher Stoddard of Atlanta, Ga., S/Sgt. David (Michaela) Stoddard, U.S. Army of Fort Hood, Texas, Desiree DeMaroney and Jeffrey Stoddard of Charlotteville; and treasured grandchildren, Ashley, Newell, and Anthony, her devoted brothers, Raymond J. (Jeryl) Hess III of Latham and Robert J. Hess of Niskayuna; many nieces and nephews, six brothers and sisters -in-law and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at a time to be announced at St. Patrick's Church, 515 Nineteenth Street, Watervliet. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Colonie. Friends and relatives are invited and may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Parker Bros. To Joe and the children first I say I am saddened beyond words. Words alone can never convey what I am feeling.

To Raymond and Robert, my brothers, my friends, I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I too have lost a sister. I can and won't look at the state Diane was in recently but of the little girl I've known all my life.

How does one put a lifetime of memories into this little box here, one simply doesn't.

I Loved her as a sister and feel the loss gravely.

Rest in peace Diane ......
