Friedman, Marcus Albert BOCA RATON, Fla. Marcus Albert Friedman, 54, died on January 14, 2021, from COVID-19 complications in Broward Health North Hospital. Marcus was born in Schenectady on September 10, 1966, to Albert Lewis Friedman and Lillian Rosalie Friedman. He graduated from Niskayuna High School and continued his education at The College of Boca Raton. Marcus spent several post graduate years in Schenectady working as a real estate agent where he became one of the top salespeople in his field. Marcus received his real estate brokers license and eventually moved to South Florida, continuing his family's legacy and ownership of Capitol Homes Real Estate. He was a well respected and successful realtor and broker for over 30 years. In 1999, Marcus married Rachel Theresa Ward; the couple settled in Boca Raton and had one child, Marcus Alexander (12 years old). Marcus enjoyed the warm sunshine, playing guitar and bodybuilding (winning AAU's Mr. Teen America in 1985 and NPC's National Teen heavyweight division in 1986). Most importantly, Marcus was a devoted father and cherished spending time with his son. He will be remembered for his love of life and adventure, charm and personality, devotion to family and friends, and his warm heart. He is survived by his wife, son, sisters, Lili Dunn of Virginia, Karen Friedman of New York, and Cynthia Grayson of Florida; nieces, Maria Dalton and Anne Grayson; and nephews, Tyler and Connor Dunn. He was well-loved by his family and had many friends who will miss his wonderful sense of humor, contagious smile, and outrageous stories. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
