Margaret Jean Walsh
Walsh, Margaret Jean SCOTIA Margaret Jean Walsh, commonly known to most as "Jean," passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021, after a long, valiant fight with deteriorating health. She was cared for by the wonderful staff at the Watson House Community Care Home in North Bennington, Vt. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Howard (Anni) McAvoy of Stillwater; her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen (Michael) Scholz; and her grandson, Jamie Scholz. She was predeceased by her husband, James Walsh; sisters, Carol DiBiase, and Dawn Soper; brother, Alvah Koert; and granddaughter, Stacey Scholz. Jean was a lifelong resident of Scotia who loved to travel and entertain. She was past chief daughter of the Lady MacRae Lodge; she was also very involved in the organization and operations of the Capital District Scottish games. At Jean's request a private gathering will be held in the coming weeks in the Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady. Guestbook condolences may be made at
