Mariana "Vicki" Crosier

Crosier, Mariana "Vicki" EAST BERNE Mariana "Vicki" Crosier, 82 of East Berne, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany on October 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Anna Wood. She and her husband, John, ran the Village Pantry, and later Crosier Realty, in East Berne for many years. Vicki's personal experience with loss led her to become a passionate volunteer with organ donation programs and support for families, both locally and nationally. She volunteered for U.N.O.S. (United Network for Organ Sharing) and the Center for Donation and Transplant She locally pioneered the founding of Compassionate Friends, supporting families after the loss of a child, and M.O.D. (Mothers of Organ Donors) Squad. Most recently she worked for the Lions Eye Bank in Albany. Vicki loved butterflies, the symbol of hope that is also used in the transplant and donation community. She will be missed by all who knew her. Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John E. Crosier Jr.; her son, Kevin Crosier (Barbara); her daughter, Karen Storm (Raymond); grandchildren, Justin Crosier (Laurel), Claire Crosier, Amanda West (Ryan), Kristen Raffensperger (Scott), Nicole Storm and Michelle Miller (Rob); and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Vicki was predeceased by two sons, Kyle and Kenneth Crosier; and her brother, Charles Wood. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private. A public celebration of life is being planned for this summer when it is safe to gather.
