Marlene Kent Obituary

Kent, Marlene ALBANY Marlene Kent passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. The daughter of Julius and Dorothy Duchin and a native of New York City, Marlene spent her life teaching and caring for those around her. A fighter to the end, she dealt with serious health issues for many years, but never lost her fierce independence, and her passion for exploring new cuisines and cheering for the Tri-City ValleyCats with her sons. She will be remembered lovingly by her sons, Aaron and his wife, Siobhan, Asher and his fiancee, Kirsten Vaczi, and Jordan, his fiancee, Gretchen Brimmer Cantwell, and their son Jacob and stepsons, Gabe and Connor; her brother, Melvin and his wife, Arlene and their sons; her former husband, Richard Kent; and many friends. Friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in her name be made to Umbrella of the Capital District.
