Master Sergeant Peavy had room in his heart for all of his Soldiers and he displayed that caring attitude. He treated people with respect and in turn was respected by contemporaries and peers alike. What a genuinely nice man. Marv had an infectious laugh and was always ready with a good word. Marvin is making them laugh upstairs. Willsey, CSM(retired) 42d ID

I am deeply sorry for your loss.
I was honored to serve with Marv. Great man. Great NCO, and full of great insightful advice. He had a cool, calming manner about him that could be counted on in the worst of times.
He will be missed.

I join Marvin's many friends from the New York Army National Guard who miss his ready smile, can-do attitude and years of dedicated service.

Sorry for your loss, Marvin and I worked side by side over 20 years ago in MNOT, he helped me out quite a lot on the job and always had a sincere attitude and broad smile across his face. Although I haven't been in touch with him, he was often thought about when I use to think back to the "good old days".

I had the pleasure of serving with Marvin in the 42 Infantry Divison. He was a very hard working and dedicated NCO, who cared about his fellow soldiers. He was always available to help anyone who needed help. He will be missed.
