TROY - Mary E. Genevive passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. Daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Neason Long. Beloved wife of Anthony J. "Juker" Genevive (d.2019) whom she shared 63 years of marriage with.
Mary worked many jobs and is best known for her time at The Grand Union Market on Pawling Ave. Mary's smile lit up the room, and she just wanted people to be happy and have fun. She loved golf, bowling, Bingo, roller-skating and camping at Schroon Lake, and of course... watching Jeopardy! Mary loved going out to dinner and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Anthony D. Genevive, Gary M. Genevive, and his wife, Alyson; two grandchildren, Karlie and Carson Genevive. Additionally, Mary is survived by her sister, Anne, and her husband, Brian Trent; sister-in-law, Dolores Long; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Anthony "Juker;" and parents, Elizabeth and Joseph; Mary was predeceased by her sister, Theresa, and her husband, Everett Manning; brothers, Paul, Pete, Walter "Barney," Edward "Duckie," and James "Jimmy" Long. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Evergreen Commons and Mary's loving and caring roommate, Margie Colamarino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary, on Wednesday, November 12, at 10:30 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Ave., Troy. In following in Mary's wishes, there will be no public Visitation prior to the Mass. Interment will be at a later date.
