Mary Sipperly Obituary
SOUTH BETHLEHEM - Mary Irene Sipperly, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Mary was born on August 23, 1940 and grew up in Maplewood, N.Y., graduating from Catholic High. She was the daughter of the late John and Harriet (Jewett) Sykela.
Mary was a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren, and enjoyed caring for grandsons, Kyle, Evan and Ryan. She had the gift of gab, and enjoyed making connections wherever she went. Mary also loved and cared for many animals, from cows to cats. Her home was a source of pride, and she enjoyed decorating her house for the holidays.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Wayne D. Sipperly Sr., and her sister, Florence Moyer. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Lisa) Sipperly Jr., Colleen (Neil) Sanders, and John Sipperly; her grandchildren, Neil Kyle (Gena) Sanders, Evan (Lexi) Sanders, Ryan Sanders; Sierra and Avery Sipperly; Chelsea, Laura, and Wayne J. Sipperly; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Grace Sanders and Ivy Sipperly; and sister, Harriet Walsh.
Special thanks to Community Hospice nurses Janine and Nicole and her wonderful aide, Carol, for their exceptional care and support.
As requested by Mary, no services will be held. Those wishing to remember Mary in a special way may send a contribution to The Community Hospice or Kitten Angels.
