Matthew McCabe Obituary

McCabe, Matthew Robert GUILDERLAND Matthew Robert McCabe, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2022. Born on August 2, 1977, he was the loving and cherished son of Brian and Lynda McCabe of Guilderland. He was predeceased by his sister, Holly; and brother, Christopher. He is survived by his wife, Christine Nates McCabe; and devoted children, Reagan Eva and Logan Robert McCabe. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brother, Tyson his wife Lauren; and nephews, Kellen Christopher and Rory Steven. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Matthew was a graduate of Guilderland High School in 1995, where he lettered in volleyball, basketball, and baseball and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Finance from The College of Saint Rose in 2001. After starting his career as a financial advisor at UBS and then Smith Barney, Matthew returned to his roots in construction to work for his father and then finally launch his own company. He loved to golf, fish, boat, and most of all to spend time with his family at their lake house in Vermont. The service will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Matthew may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA, 22116-7023.

Although I haven´t seen Matt in a long time....I still remember the great summers we had as kids. Spending time at each other house. Going on your boat. Playing baseball. All great memories. Gone far too soon. I am so sorry for your loss.
