Halabuda, Max A. III SCHENECTADY Max A. Halabuda III, 42 of Union Street, died suddenly on Monday, November 22, 2021, at home, after being stricken. Born in Troy on December 14, 1978, the son of Pamela (Dean Henderson) Barlow of Clifton Park and Max (Dawn) Halabuda Jr. of Latham, Max was a 1997 graduate of Catholic Central High in Troy. Finding his true calling, Max loved his job as the emergency aid coordinator for Things Of My Very Own group in Schenectady for the past two years. Previously, he had operated a Freihofer's bread route, and had been a restaurant manager for several entities in the capital district. A savvy poker player, video and board games enthusiast, he tried roller-skating and loved it, was thrilled to ride rollercoasters everywhere and anywhere, and was a diehard N.Y. Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan. Max's love of his life and pride and joy were his wife, daughters and son, and his mom, whom he spoke to just about every day. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife Jeanie Bolin Halabuda; his daughters, Claudia (Zachary Chapman), Carleigh, Callie and Claira' Sue Halabuda all of Mechanicville; his son, Timothy Chura of Texas; his brothers, Keith of California and Stephen (Andrea) Halabuda of Duanseburg, along with cousins, friends, co-workers and clients. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicville. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. before services. For all, Max would love family and friends to wear Yankees or Bills colors for his services. In lieu of flowers, Max would have loved for people to contribute memorial contributions to Things Of My Very Own, 249 Green St., Schenectady, NY, 12305. I remember when I was younger and always with Claudia, Max came up with the nickname grape juice for me one day when I walked in the door and sat down. From that day on the girls always called me grape juice. I´ll never forget that moment and Max always talking about the Yankees and talking about sports in general with me and cracking jokes all the time. One of a kind, that I´ll always be thankful for and forever miss. Girls, your dad was amazing and will always be so proud of you and loves you so much. Sending everyone in the family love. I´m so saddened to hear this news. My dad and I send our condolences. Love you guys
