Melodee A. Haney

Haney, Melodee A. SCHUYLERVILLE Melodee A. Haney, 65, a resident of Broad Street, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 9, 1946 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Eleanor M. Robinson Priest. She worked as a medical billing specialist at Capital Imaging Associates in Latham and owned and operated the Schuylerville Laundromat with her husband for many years. She was a former member of the Schuylerville Lions Club and the Old Saratoga Post 278 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved cooking, reading, and being a wife, mom and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Conkey and a sister, Robin Durham. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Robert Haney Jr. of Schuylerville; a daughter, Tamee (Adam) Lockwood of Schuylerville; a son, Robert (Michelle) Haney III of Niskayuna; three grandchildren, Adam Lockwood Jr., Emilee and Katherine Haney; two sisters, Bonnie Peluso and Colleen Aubin; two brothers, Mark Priest and Randy Priest; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with the Rev. Joyce deVelder officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m., at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends are invited to a reception following the burial on Tuesday at the Old Saratoga Post 278 American Legion in Schuylerville.
