Michael Filuta

Filuta, Michael Gloveland, Fla. Michael Filuta, 92, former area resident, died July 26, 2011 at South Lake Hospital, Clermont, Fla. Born in Troy on Sept. 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Fedor and Sophia Wazna Filutych; and beloved husband of Clara Cameron Filuta of Groveland, Fla.; and the late Esther Beaudoin Filuta. He was the father of the late Michael Filuta; and stepfather of Gary and Paul Cameron, Letecia Cameron Byrd, Laura Cameron Farrior, Barbara Cameron Lee and Heather Cameron Morton. Brother of Frank Filuta of Troy; and brother-in-law of Rita Rausch and Eugene Beaudoin. Nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside ceremony will take place on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements under the direction of Parker Bros.
