Novakovic, Milan BURNT HILLS Milan Z. Novakovic, age 66, of David's Lane, passed unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 16, 2018. He was born on April 1, 1952, in Schenectady, N.Y. and was the son of the late Dusan and Leokadia (Pawlak) Novakovic. Milan graduated from Mont Pleasant High School class of 1970. Milan proudly served in the Navy aboard the USS Neosho as an electrician. He met the love of his life, Cynthia in 1979, married happily in 1981 and started a family, daughter Meagan and son Zachary. Milan pursued his craft as an electrician until following his dream of driving a big rig. He went on to work proudly for Logistics One in Saratoga. Outside of work, Milan enjoyed nothing more than his family. Milan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed sailing, fly fishing, hunting, camping and hiking with his family in the Adirondacks. Milan could often be found tinkering with his sailboat in the backyard or relaxing on his deck. Milan is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; his beloved children Meagan (Michael) Grayson and Zachary (Jennifer) Novakovic; grandson Brennan (his itty bitty buddy); daughters, Lori Boyd and April Ody. His brother John (Deborah) Novakovic; sister-in-law Linda Tofte; brother-in-law Steve (Linda) Nemeth; and many nieces and nephews. Milan was also beloved by many close friends whom he cared deeply for and considered family including Judy, David and Tracey Rostron. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, November 19, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, New York 12019. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 20, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Deron Milleville, Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville will officiate. Interment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
