Chiboucas, Milton C. "Chick" ALBANY Milton C. Chiboucas "Chick," 103, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Charles and Stematia Chiboucas. Chick was predeceased by his wife Gladys (Kuehn) Chiboucas. Chick was a proud member of the Elks, Masons and the Albany Musicians Union. He was also a life member, past president, board of director and chief of Fire Police for the North Bethlehem Fire Department. Chick was also an active with the Western Turnpike Rescue Squad in his previous years. Chick retired from the Watervliet Arsenal as a leader in quality control. The height of his career he was working in a band conducted by Nelson Riddle and appearing on the Arthur Godfrey TV Show. He is survived by his daughter Nancy Wyles (Larry); and son Gary Chiboucas (Paula). The family would like to give a special thanks to Kingsway Arms Assisted Living for the love and care given to Chick and his family. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, January 26, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with interment following in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current N.Y.S. occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
