Nicholas Cutulle Obituary

WATERBURY, Conn. Nicholas Cutulle, 62, of Melrose Avenue, died suddenly on Saturday, August 13, 2005 in Southbridge, Mass., after being stricken. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Waterbury, October 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Dominic and Mary DeVito Cutulle. Nick was a graduate and standout football star at Crosby High School, Waterbury, So. Connecticut State College of New Haven and also completed his master's degree program in science. Nick was a chemistry teacher for a number of years at Crosby High School, before retirement. A former assistant football coach at Crosby, during the 1969 Crosby High School undefeated football season. He also was a former head football coach at Western Connecticut State College and he was an avid New York Yankee baseball fan. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterbury. Survivors include his sister, Isabella Rusgaitus; a brother, Thomas James Cutulle, both of Waterbury; along with a number of cousins in the Mechanicville, N.Y. area. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m. A funeral Mass has been set for Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Wolcott St., Waterbury, Conn. with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity one's choice in memory of Nicholas Cutulle.
