Paul Piche Obituary

Piche, Paul L. GREEN ISLAND Paul L. Piche, 64, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018. Paul was the son of the late Francis and Audrey Piche; and was the devoted husband of 21 years to Clara L. Piche. Paul was an avid astronomer and loved to play the drums. After graduating from Troy High School in 1973, Paul enlisted in to the Air Force, where he was honorably discharged. He graduated with an associate's degree from Hudson Valley Community College in electrical construction and maintenance. Paul had a great passion for electronics. He frequently designed, made, and used his own electronic devices such as power supplies, lasers, vacuum tubes, amongst many other experimental projects. Most of all, Paul enjoyed being a devoted grand father to his grandkids. In addition to his beloved wife Clara; Paul is survived by his sons, Paul E. (Tabetha) Piche, Aaron D. Piche, William M. Finch, and Michael T. Finch; grandchildren, Tristan, Brendan, Abigail, Katriana, Aaron, Britain, Paul, Gavin, and Audriana; siblings, Francis (Jayne) Piche, Colleen Snyder, Laurie Erno, Diane (Steve) Corey, and David Piche; along with many loved family members and friends. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, on Thursday, February 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Paul's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at: 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY, 12204. I'm so sorry for your loss, this is late and I apologize but am just hearing of Paul's passing. As another neighborhood friend we had all spent a lot of time at the Piche household and were always welcomed by your whole family. My prayers for you all.

I remember way when we were 13 pauly father bought him a set of drums it was like yesterday they were vintage 1940s awesome set of drums mid night blue w silver spray accent in the center and it the frist time he played those drums it was at school one talent show him an billy bloomer he played guitar the song they did was think were alone now, tommy james an the shondells it was really good now they were only 13 pauly played those over size drums fantastic, back then were all into music me karl danny we had alot in common we were all close friends had a ot of fun from grammer school to high school. Always had a blast with pauly all of us did never dull moment r.ip pauly
