Walters, Paul A. ALBANY It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul A. Walters share his sudden passing on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Paul was born on February 5, 1959, in May Pen, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Egbert and Avis Walters. The Walters family migrated to the United States in 1968 and settled in Albany. Paul was a graduate of Bishop Maginn High School and SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica. He worked at Niagara Mohawk, Freihofer Baking Company and later became the owner and operator of P.W. Hauling. Paul is survived by his children, Brandi Poczik (Philip), Paul Jr. "Tony," Percell, Chynna, Aniah and Al'lon; grandchildren, Davion, Pace, Paxton, Caymir, Judah, and Jayelle; brothers and sisters, Genevieve, Pam, Michael (Gail), Molly Horne, Yvonne, Patrick (Lisa), Evelyn and Paulette Stewart (Barrington); beloved partner, Trudy Davis, and former spouse and longstanding friend, Gina Horne-Tucker as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Egbert and Avis Walters. A truly wise and gifted man, Paul will forever be remembered for his big heart and his big laugh. He touched the hearts of many; may he rest in peace and power. Viewing hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Saturday, May 22, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a homegoing service from 12 - 1 p.m. The service of committal will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
