Hickey, Peter Joseph SLINGERLANDS Peter Joseph Hickey, 82, of Slingerlands, passed away surrounded by his family, September 2, 2011, at his residence at Pasinella, Cohoes, N.Y. Born September 22, 1928 in Troy to John and Helen (Donnelly) Hickey, he was the elder brother to Helene Allen of Penn Yann, the late John Hickey, the late Patricia Matthews and Paul Hickey of Albany. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jacqueline (O'Connor) Hickey and is the beloved father of Gary Hickey (Sherrie) of Slingerlands. Jill Eckhardt (Mark) of Rutland, Mass., Jeffrey Hickey of Plattsburgh, Megan Brown (Mark) of Guilderland, Christopher Hickey of Saratoga Springs, Andrew Hickey (Kathy) of Chicago, Ill., Robyn Colmenares (Aziz) of Hartsdale, N.Y., Patrick Hickey (Alicia) of Phoenix, Ariz., David Hickey (Vicki) Weedsport, N.Y. and Kevin Hickey (Masako) of Englewood, N.J. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jared, Ian, Roisleen, Claire, Aidan, Lydia, Peter, Bryanna, Dylan, Marleigh, Bridget, Ryan, Jacob, and Maya Hickey, Amanda, and Cayleigh Eckhardt, Lauryn and Lindsay Brown and Jacqueline and Alexandra Colmenares. Peter was an avid golfer and a New York Yankee fan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 35 Adams Place, Delmar.
