Peter S. Keating
Keating, Peter S. WATERFORD Peter S. Keating, 50 of Stage Run, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital after a two-year courageous battle with stage four pancreatic cancer. Born in Santa Monica, Calif. he graduated from Culver City High School and The Los Angeles Culinary Institute. Peter was employed for the past three years at Alarm & Suppression Inc. in Ballston Lake. Prior to that he was employed by Captain Marden's Seafood in Massachusetts and had also worked as a chef at restaurants in Los Angeles and Boston. He was a member and captain of the Halfmoon-Waterford Fire Department. Pete was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and was an amateur photographer. He has completed a Half Ironman and numerous triathlons. He had a great love for the outdoors, enjoying golfing, hiking and camping and also was an adrenalin adventurist enjoying skydiving and bungee jumping. Survivors include his devoted wife of 24 years, Colleen Klimkewicz Keating; his loving daughter Megan A. Keating; his mother Alison Brown (late Phil) of Wichita, Kan.; his father, John Keating (Brenda) of Culver City, Calif.; as well as his beloved sister Colette Peterson (Gerald) of California. His other family members include his sister, Jennifer Keating and brother John Michael Keating of California. Funeral services will be on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Clifton Park Fire Department, 38 Old Rte. 146, Clifton Park. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the Clifton Park Fire Department on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Per pandemic regulations, masks are required, social distancing practiced and occupancy limitations observed. Peter was my first team in training triathalon coach for the LLS in 2012. He was an amazing, selfless human being. He cared so much about people. He will be forever missed, however, I am one of the lucky ones to have known this amazing coach. "Go Team"
