Lorenc, Peter Jr. TROY Peter Lorenc Jr., 85, of Troy entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wolkowyja, Poland he was the son of the late Peter and Paraskie-wie Jahwak Lorenc Sr. and the beloved husband of 59 years to Maria Lorenc. Mr. Lorenc came to the United States to establish a new life for himself and his family, he was employed with the Charles Yunck Nursery in Latham and later retired from Adirondack Steel in 1987. In addition to his wife, Maria, Peter is survived by his children, Sally (Robert) Quinlan, Anna (Mario) Spagli, Frank Lorenc, and Bronic (Pamela) Lorenc. He was the proud grandfather of Thomas (Mary) Quinlan, Tammy Quinlan, Tarrah Quinlan, Daniel Lorenc, Amy Lorenc, Eric Spagli, Melissa Spagli, Nicole Lorenc; and his special great-granddaugh-ter, Evelyn Quinlan who always brought a smile to his face. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, all in Poland. Peter was predeceased by his youngest son, Mark Lorenc; and his siblings, Pelagia, Theodora, and Anthony. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd St., Troy and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m. in the funeral home. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at St. Mary's Hospital for all the kindness and care given to Peter during his stay.
