Gifford, of Clifton Park, N.Y., passed away on February 9, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Randy was born in 1952 in Hollywood, Fla., to the late Stephen and Madeline (Austin) Gifford. Randy was predeceased by his son, Bryah Gifford; and his wife, Peggy Power Gifford.
Following high school, Randy earned his associates degree from SUNY Delhi and started Giffy's Bar-b-que, which he owned and operated along with Power's Inn & Pub for many years, along with Giffy's catering through the greater Clifton Park area.
In his spare time, Randy was a member of the ZBA of Clifton Park, though his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren.
Randy is survived by his two daughters, Charlie (Jim) Cahill of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Amy (Brenden) Gotham of Lake Placid, N.Y.; grandchildren, Taylor and Tessa Gifford, Alex Gifford, Liam Gotham and McKenna Cahill; his siblings, Dawn (Kevin) Baker, Diane (Norman) Woodruff, Ronald (Virginia) Gifford, Robert Gifford, and Stephen (Judy) Gifford; as well as countless former employees and co-workers that became family to him.
A period of visitation will be held for Randy on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 4-8 p.m., at Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Rte. 9, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12066. A Celebration of Life will be held the next day from 12 noon until 3 p.m., at the Barn at Power's, 130 Meyer Rd., Clifton Park, N.Y. 12066.
In lieu of flowers, Randy requested donations be made in his memory to your local Alcoholic's Anonymous.
