Rebecca Clark Hodgson, 65, entered the House of the Lord on Easter, April 20, 2025, leaving this world from the Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Becky was born on September 24, 1959, in Albany, N.Y., to her proud parents, John and Carole Clark of Loudonville, N.Y.; and was the stepdaughter of the late James Fowler of Loudonville.
Becky attended St. Agnes School and graduated from the Emma Willard School, in Troy. She enrolled in Skidmore College, majoring in Social Work and graduated in 1981. In October of 1982, Becky married George Hodgson, and they resided in the Town of Northumberland, where they raised their sons, George and William. Becky was employed for 20 years by Saratoga County, retiring from the Saratoga County Employment and Training Department as an Employment Counselor. While there, she assisted numerous individuals find meaningful employment in Saratoga County's rapidly expanding work force.
Becky was a devoted parishioner of St. Therese's Chapel in Gansevoort, serving many years with their Rosary Altar Society. Becky also served the Town of Northumberland for 24 years as a member of the Town's Zoning Board of Appeals. She was a dear person, with a huge heart, whose family always came first!
Becky is survived by her husband, George, of 43 years; and son, George III and his wife, Lauren; and was grandmother to their three sons, Benny, Max and Arthur; and son, William Clark Hodgson. She is also survived by three sisters, Dr. Molly Clark of Boston, Maureen Matsuura of Fate, Texas, and Jennifer Donoghue of Niverville, N.Y. Becky is also survived by three cousins, Pamela McCarthy of Chesapeake, Va., Kathleen Volney of Valatie and Jane Wood of Chatham; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Becky loved cooking. She enjoyed the family's English Setters, traveling and Rhode Island beaches!
Heartfelt thanks to Becky's second family, the nurses and caregivers of Fort Hudson Nursing Home and Hospice, who provided Becky with exceptional care during her lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Fort Hudson Health System, in care of Resident Activity Fund, 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, N.Y. 12828.
Viewing hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, N.Y. 12871, on Friday, May 2, 2025. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Therese's Church, 1 Wilton Gansevoort Rd., Gansevoort, N.Y. 12831. Her Burial will follow at the Bacon Hill Cemetery, in Northumberland.

I am so sorry to hear of Becky's passing but I am sure she guided the Pope to the pearly gates. She was my best friend and we had many good times. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved you all very much. She will always be in our hearts.

I am so sorry to learn of Becky´s passing and of her long battle with Alzheimer´s. Many years ago I frequently worked with Becky helping numerous people find funding for training. She was as always compassionate and kind.
