Richard Post Obituary
TROY - Richard W. Post, 84, of Troy, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Catskill on May 17, 1941, a son of the late Lyle and Virginia (Bartlett) Post.
Richard entered the U.S. Air Force in January 1962, and served during the Vietnam War, flying many missions earning two Distinguished Flying Crosses. He entered civilian life following the military after serving eight years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel, in 2021.
Richard is survived by his children, Deborah (Thomas) Bevevino, Kevin (Kelly) Post, Rebecca (Edward) Liga; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., immediately followed by a Service of Remembrance for Richard, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Hoosic Valley Community Church, 2024 Rt. 40, Schaghticoke, N.Y. Services of committal and military honors will follow at 2 p.m., at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosic Valley Community Church in Schaghticoke, Mt. Ida Community Food Pantry, Rock Mountain Bible Camp, or Capital District Youth For Christ.

Kevin Deborah&Rebecca so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad.he & your mom where such wonderful people.They were so much a part of MT.Ida church.I remember when my cousin David& i helped your family move (across the street) lots of work but we all had agreat time.
