Robert Angel Obituary
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Robert L. Angel, 80, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born in Topeka, Kan., on January 2, 1945, to Carl and Dolly Angel.
Robert served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, including two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner. He was a helicopter flight mechanic for 20 years, retiring from the Air Force in1989.
After his retirement, Bob moved to N.Y. with his family. He worked for the YMCA and Saratoga Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and working on cars.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert Angel Jr. (Christina), Alicia Angel, Robert Angel III, and Kali Church (Peter); grandchildren, Nikolas, Natasha (Cody), Marquel, Alexander, and Paislee.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Carl and Dolly; his wife, Jacqueline; brothers, Bill and Chuck; and his uncle Al.
Bob will be laid to rest with military honors, on Monday, October 27, at 2 p.m., at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Mary's Haven, 35 New Street, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866. The family is forever grateful for the care Mary's Haven gave to Bob's wife Jacqueline.
