To all the Degnans, you all know how I and our entire family feel about Bob, Helen the entire Degnan family. How lucky we were to spend our summer vacations out to Crooked Lake, enjoying the smell of freshly burnt toast, getting wood having a pioneer breakfast, all while learning what friendship, and love was all about. So so lucky to have had him and the whole family part of our lives. Gonna miss the old Bear, I am sure he is brushing up on his Japanese right about now.

Dear Mrs. Degnan, Joe, Bobby, and your Families,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy on the passing of Mr. Degnan. He is warmly remembered by so many young aspiring athletes who grew up in Waterford. We regarded Mr. Degnan as a man of character and integrity who encouraged, influenced, and led by example. I was fortunate to be the beneficiary of his influence.
I am honored that he was the Master of Ceremonies at my last Siena home game at the Washington Avenue Armory.

So very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was like a father to me and I'll never forget all the love I felt from everyone in the family. I feel like I lost a parent all over again.
