Eck, Robert L. RAVENA Robert Lewellyn Eck, age 70, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 20, 2022. Robert "Bob" was born on May 2, 1952, in Albany. He was the son of the late Robert and Edith (VanWormer) Eck. Bob married his wife of 51 years, Julie Ann (Johnson) Eck in 1968, and went on to raise their three children whom they loved very much. Bob worked for Powell Minnock Brick Company for 23 years, Gardner-Dickinson School in Wynantskill, and was a farmer for many years. Bob loved to read, play cards, watch old western movies, hunt and go fishing. He was very proud of the black bear he shot in the fall of 2020. Bob enjoyed being outdoors, riding on the tractor, tending to his flowers and going on long drives through the country side with an occasional stop for ice cream. Bob enjoyed watching baseball and was a fan of the N.Y. Mets. He cherished spending time with his family and loved watching his grandchildren grow up. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his loving wife, Julie. He is survived by his children, Robert (Karen) Eck of Johnstown, BillieJo (Ken) Mueller of Alcove and Jason Eck of Ravena; and grandchildren, Amanda and Kenny Mueller. As per Roberts wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Robert can be made to Future Farmers of America (FFA), Greenville Chapter, P.O. Box 129, Greenville, NY 12083.
