Nancy C. Pease

Pease, Nancy C. MIDDLEFIELD Nancy C. (Catalfamo) Pease, 81, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Albany, N.Y., on January 28, 1930 to the late Joseph and Rose (Maimone) Catalfamo. She grew up in the Albany area where she went to local schools and graduated from Roseville High School. She moved to Middlefield in 1962. She received her B.A. in business education from SUNY Albany. She taught business and education at Westfield High School for many years. She was a volunteer at Noble Hospital and the Gateway High School Library. Nancy was the treasurer for Middlefield for 20 years and also the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed painting and ran the Blue Heaven Blueberry Farm with her husband Moe. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Maurice "Moe" Pease on July 31, 2011. She leaves her sons, Mark H. Pease and his wife Michelle of Dracut, Mass., and Joseph F. Pease and his wife Donna of Middlefield; her sister, Rose Kennedy of Loudonville, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Adam and Matthew. Nancy was a grandmother figure to Robert, Justin, Shane and Adam. The funeral will be held on Monday, August 29 in Middlefield Congregational Church at 11 a.m. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Following the burial a gathering will take place at the family home.
