Robert E. Strasswimmer

Strasswimmer, Robert E. PETERSBURG Robert E. Strasswimmer, 57, of Red Pond Rd., Petersburg died suddenly Thursday evening at St. Mary's Hospital Troy, after being strickened at his home. Born December 7, 1949 on Long Island, N.Y. Son of Gustav and Eurma Metzler Strasswim-mer. A graduate of Berlin Central School and the RCA Electronics School in New York City. Widower of Carol L. Crandall who died in 1978. Bob was a self-employed mechanic and electronics repairman in the Petersburg area. He was an avid stamp collector, he loved to "tinker" with anything electronic, computers, televisions, radios and VCR's. Survivors include his fianc?e, Holly Pursel of Petersburg, they have been together for 17 years. One son, Aaron (Lisa) Strasswim-mer of Greenwich, N.Y; one daughter, Melissa (Mike) Fredricks of Troy; also seven grandchildren, Carolin, Laura, Kierstyn, and Eli Strasswimmer, Kelsey, Kaylin, and Connor Fredricks. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chase Funeral Home, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke with the Rev. Clyde McCaskill Pastor of Hoosic Valley Community Church.
