I hope your reunion with mom was all that you have been waiting ten years for. Patrice and I watched over her the best we could, as we had promised you, now it is your turn again! I´m pretty sure you know that the last 5 years were tough on her. All she wanted was to be with you. Now I am at peace knowing that she is in your arms for eternity. I am so grateful for both of you. Merry Christmas dad. It's been 10 years since we saw your smile. Ten years of that empty chair at our tables. This is a very different Christmas, we have one Christmas wish. Our wish is that you take ma's hand and bring her home to heaven. It's a heartbreaking wish but we know it's what she wants. She misses you terribly and is ready to go home. We know you will be there with open arms when the good Lord says it's time. At that time your love story here on earth will be complete and your story in heaven will begin. Dearest dad,
9 years ago God called you home to Paradise, letting you finally rest in Peace in the arms of the Angels.
When we look back at that Christmas Eve 9 years ago, we were saddened and couldn't understand why....why God would take you on Christmas Eve when so many celebrations were going on. But today we understand....each of your 5 children were home with their families and you were alone with mom....the love of your life. That is what YOU wanted. You wanted to say "goodbye" in privacy...you wanted to open your beautiful eyes and look into mom's eyes to give her peace as you said your final farewell before drifting off to Heaven. God let you rest and your suffering was gone.
Today and always, I feel so absolutely blessed that YOU were my dad, my hero. YOU were the most kind, and compassionate man. You taught us kindness, responsibility, love and last but not least......how to buy cars! Oh, how mom was always mad at you when you took us to test drive cars.
You and mom must have thought I was going to be a musician one day because one Christmas Santa brought me a Guitar and another year, he brought me an Organ....I never asked for those things....but when I did ask for a horse or a monkey, but you and mom got me a 'parakeet'! I still share those stories with our precious grandson Callum. Sure do wish he could have met you.
I bet you were surprised to be greeted by Matt when you got to Heaven....I hope he took your hand as you entered the Golden Gates.
Please continue to watch over mom....and continue to send her signs until God calls her Home. She sure does miss you and although we try hard to keep her busy, enjoying family times, it is becoming harder. Watch over her please.
Until the good Lord calls me home, know that I love and miss you more and more each and every day, especially when we share so many happy memories together as a family and it seems we spend our time laughing...you left so many memories engraved in our hearts. Till we are reunited again....warm hugs dear daddy.

Hey Dad,
Well, it´s coming up on another anniversary of the day that you got called home. It is so bittersweet. I know that you are free of pain and in a much better place than those you had to leave behind, but I also know that you are missed by all who knew and loved you. I am so grateful to know that you are watching over mom, as she really misses you so very much. Please keep letting her know that you are by her side. She needs a drop of joy once in a while! As I am out and about this time of year, it brings back so many fond memories of all the Christmases we had as a family. Those memories will always bring a smile to my face. Yankee swaps and many laughs
Phone rings at approximately 8 PM....
"He's gone" my baby brother cries out..."He's gone".
Silence. Tears flow. Hearts broken. Prayers spoken.
Our dearest dad, the Patriarch and backbone of our family, father of 5, Papa to 11, and 9 great-grandchildren, some of whom will never have the opportunity to meet him, had been called Home to Heaven.
Lives changed forever and our mom lost her hero, her best friend, the love of her life.
So we now celebrate the life he lived...and the life he and our mom provided our beautiful family...
Thank you dad....REST IN PEACE for you have earned your Angel wings. Love you to the moon and back daddy.

8 years without you today. It seems like just yesterday you were making your "Papa´s pizza", how can it be eight years without that smile of yours? I don´t know what to say, I miss you with all my heart. We had an amazing life thanks to you and mom. The love and laughter we shared as a family was the ultimate proof of the love and respect you and mom had for each other and us. I promised you the last time I saw you that I would take care of mom and that you could rest and she would be ok. I hope I am doing good in your eyes. When I got the phone call that you were gone, my heart broke for us left here, especially mom, but it lifted knowing you were finally at peace and that you would finally get to meet Jaclyn. You were the absolute best dad a girl could be blessed with, and blessed I was. I love you so very much. I am so glad that we spoke those words often to each other. Watch over us as we try to get through this life of ours. I know I will see you again. I expect you to have a small bottle of chocolate milk with you. I love you. Around this time every year, I look back and find comfort in all the amazing memories we all made during our times together. I remember all of the ridiculously fun and hilarious times we had on our trips with the Cloutier´s. You and Uncle Roger throwing tomatoes at the ballerina!! You guys were crazy!! We had some great times camping at York Beach and Alpine Lake from "frogs of virtue" to "smoking´ coachman", man we could always find a way to laugh!!! How about all of our hilarious Christmas get togethers? All of us running through Walmart looking for Yankee swap gifts and then we hatched a plan to put all the junk we didn´t want in a shopping cart and leave it in the parking lot to see who would take it?? We all got that sense of humor from YOU!! Anyway, I really miss you and all the fun we had together. I hope Calvin found his way to you. I told him to look for the guy that I look like and who will have a pocket full of treats and is surrounded by dogs! Take care of him for me as you have with the rest of my pack. I know mom probably talks your ear off every morning and night while she is laying in bed so please let her know that you are listening, and please keep watching over her. Well it´s been eight years since you left us here physically, I know you have been with us in spirit the whole time though. Every year around this time it brings me comfort to think about all the amazing memories we all made together. The many laughs we had together from our Florida trips with the Cloutier´s, to our summer trips to York Beach and then to Alpine Lake and our day trips to the track. Soooo many GREAT memories! I am so grateful and am so blessed to be able to call you my Dad. Please continue to watch over mom. Dearest Dad,
It will be 8 years on Christmas Eve since you left us for Eternal Rest and Peace.
Over those last 8 years, we have shared so many memories of the incredible life you and mom gave us. We still laugh at the things we shared together as a family. We wanted for nothing... especially LOVE. Growing up, you filled our lives with such joy and protection. You taught us the meaning of kindness to others as well as kindness to all of God's creatures. As adults, you continued the same, with not only your 5 children, but your grandchildren as well. You were loved beyond measure and were the BEST cook, dad and Papa. We were truly blessed to always have you and mom by our side.
But as you grew tired, God let you rest....and you are now at Peace.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and miss you, but knowing you are at peace, brings me comfort. Continue to guide us through this messed up world Dad and we will continue to watch over mom for you. We've got things covered down here.

Dad, Another year has passed since we said goodbye to you. I know you are watching over us but it still hurts to not have you by our sides. I look through my pictures and remember the fantastic times we had as a family. Boy did we do a lot of laughing. You were the absolute best dad a girl could ask for. Man do I miss you. I thank God every day for the time we had together, even when you were sick. I laid in bed the other day remembering the day we spent together driving around Ormond Beach just you and me and then sneaking off to get ice cream sundaes at Steak and Shake. I also am so thankful for the day I sat and had lunch with you and your lady friends at the home. They were different kinds of times, but still very, very important times to me. Dad, yesterday 5/14/2015, you were granted your final wish....that you be laid to rest and at peace with your fellow fallen comrades...and mom fulfilled that wish for you. You married a wonderful woman 64 years ago and we were so very proud of her today. Dear Dad,
Words can't express how proud I am to be your son and a member of this amazing family that you and mom raised. You were an inspiration to us all through your hard work and dedication to us. Dad,how do you begin to thank someone for a wonderful life? You did so much for your family. We were brought up with respect and compassion for everyone around us. Your smile lit up a room, now we need the memories to light our way as we try to go on without you here with us. You will forever be in our hearts, and we will still be looking to you for guidance as we have all our lives. Love and miss you more than you know.

Dad, you were and always will be my hero. How do I begin to tell you thank you for the wonderful life you and ma have given us. My heart is broken but your struggles are over Dad and I know you are at peace. Enjoy the company of all that passed before you and watch over all of us that love you so very much but had to be left behind. Dearest Dad...my heart is shattered now but I know it will heal in time as I believe you are in a better place and at peace. I am so proud to be your daughter and will always cherish those ideals that you and mom have instilled in us as your children....love, family, laughter and compassion. Be at peace with Matt now as you have fought a long and hard battle. The Lord said it was time to rest... Until we are reunited again, keep our seats warm and watch over us. Dad....I miss you more than you can imagine. You were the rock of our family. You and mom gave our family the greatest gifts...the gifts of love, laughter and compassion and for that, I will be forever grateful. But, the Lord decided to give you a gift...the gift of peace now. So it is time for you to rest. I ask that you be at peace with Matt now..we will take care of Mom and each other. Until we see each other again...keep our seats warm and not too many pranks from you two clowns up there. The void in my heart will never be filled but we will all be OK... Rest easy Papa..love you to the moon and back. ?
