Ronald B. Blodgett

Blodgett, Ronald B. DELMAR Ronald B. Blodgett, 72, of Delmar, died at home on Thursday, July 16, 2009. Ronald was born October 27, 1936 in Albany, the son of the late Winifred Scoons and William Blodgett. He was also the stepson of the late H. Kenneth Geurtze, and brother of the late Shirley and Malete Junco. He loved fishing, hunting, Harley Davidson motorcycles and, most of all, his family. Survivors include his wife, Joan M, Blodgett of Venice, Fla.; children, Lisa (Bernie) teRiele of Ravena, Kelly Blodgett of New Baltimore, Mark (Debbie) Blodgett of Latham, Michael Blodgett of Ky. and Ronald Blodgett Jr. of Fla.; stepchildren, Cheryl Latham, Sheila Phelps and Sheena (David) Gaggi, all of Ohio; siblings, Lois (Nick) Perrele of Peekskill, Joan (Red) Plummer of Delmar, Margie Taylor of Mass., Bobbie (Jack) Broader of Voorheesville, Deanna (Howard) Loucks of Delmar and Kenneth (Linda Kaplan) Geurtze; 25 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; dear friends, Patricia Santar and Mickey Heath; many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
