Ronald Charbonneau Obituary

Charbonneau, Ronald COHOES Ronald G. Charbonneau, 72, of Cohoes died Friday August 5, 2011 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy. Born in Waterford, he was the son of the late Albert and Eva Gaudreau Charbonneau. Ron was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and received his education in the Cohoes Schools. He retired in 1990 from General Electric in Schenectady where he worked in janitorial services. He was a member of the Cohoes Waterford Elks and the Cohoes Moose Club. Ron enjoyed stamp and coin collecting. He is survived by his loving siblings, Harriet (Karl) Butz of Ausable Forks, Yvette (Louis) Alexopoulos of Watervliet, Roger L. Charbonneau of Easton, Leonard A. (Connie) Charbonneau of Cohoes and Francis J. (Linda) Charbonneau of Shushan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth A. Charbonneau. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes Tuesday morning at 11:00 with Reverend William D. Turnbull officiating. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 p.m. Ron's family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center for all their wonderful care, love and support while he was a resident there.
