HORSEHEADS, N.Y. Rose Marie Roman (Coogan), formerly of Albany, N.Y., died April 6, 2005 at Elcor Nursing Facility, Colonial Dr., Horseheads. Born June 10, 1928, in Troy, N.Y., Rose was a lifelong resident of Albany until her illness in March of 2002. She was retired from Albany Medical Center where she worked for many years as a food service manager. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Anthony E. Roman Sr. (Eddie) and her parents, Marion and Frank Coogan; and stepfather Charlie Coogan. Survived by daughter, Christine, and son-in-law Kevin O'Connell of Horseheads; granddaughter, Bridget (O'Connell) Kurcoba with husband Kris Kurcoba; great-grandson, Colin Matthew Kurcoba and great-granddaughter, Kiley Elizabeth Kurcoba; son, Anthony E. (Tony) Roman Jr. with daughter-in-law Elisa and grandson, Nicholas Roman of Newburgh, N.Y. Rose was also survived by many loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Jack and Joyce Roman of Loudonville, N.Y., Mary Zwink of Colonie, N.Y., Rev. Paul Roman of Delmar, N.Y., Frank Roman of New York City, Sister Barbara Roman, RSM of Albany, Irene Roman of Delmar, Frances and Dick Egan of Albany, George Roman of Fla., Paulette Roman of Albany and Charles and Marilynn Roman of Voorheesville, N.Y. She is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Rose's family would like to thank Richard Poes and the staff at Elcor, especially at Hickory Knoll North, for their kindness and concern in caring for Rose during the last years of her illness. Funeral services will be held in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 8 Dudley Heights, Albany (opposite the Philip Livingston School on Northern Blvd.) Saturday morning at 8:15 and 9 o'clock at the Church of St. Margaret Mary. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home Friday 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
