Professor Lanahan was truly one of the greatest and kindest professors that I have ever encountered. I always looked forward to her classes. She always had a smile and a cheerful little giggle! All of her students, including myself were blessed to have been taught by such a wonderful lady.

My deepest sympathy,

To the Family Of Professor Lanahan:

Rosemary Lanahan was my professor at Schenectady County Community College. She taught me Managerial Accounting and was a terrific teacher as well as a sweet lady. She was so excited to move into her new home that she shared many of her love and enjoyment stories with her class. Even though she did that accounting was accounting and we were to get as much learning in until the last minute of class. She always made the time to say, "hi" as that brought a smile to my face. Professor Lanahan was a strong willed person as you got to know her more and more. I am just real glad I got the pleasure of being in her class. She will be highly missed and she will be in my thoughts and prayer's.

Wow, where would anyone want to start to describe in such a short time the effect that Mrs. Lanahan had on everyone in our class and other previous classes. Then to imagine the life lasting impressions she gave that anyone can be whatever they want to be if they just push their self to their maximum potential. I really can just say that our last conversation was my life motivator and instills beliefs that the sky is the limit and and i am a rising star. Thank you Rosemary for all your help and belief.

To The Family of Professor Lanahan:

What a great lady, mother, and professor. Her dedication to us as students was enthusiastic and endeavoring. I respected her as my Professor but I loved her for the strong and beautiful woman she was. God Bless her as she takes her blessed place with the Angels and makes the Heavens above us a greater place and the skies brighter with her smile. We will miss her so very much her at her home at SCCC but those who have learned from her in or out of her classroom we are richly blessed.

I was fortunate to have Rosemary as the first faculty colleague to join the Business and Law Department during my years as Chair. She was unfailingly a caring and effective teacher(as many entries above attest), such a willing member, a real team-player we could always count on.
Glenn's remarks today about her ceramics triggered memories of her stories of craft-fair adventures, of her many bustrips and air travels, of her fervent support of the QVC shopping network in its early years. She was always a pleasure to visit with, full of fun, even her sharing of worries and concerns laced with openness and good humor.
I'll miss her and recall her fondly, with a smile!

Rosemary Lanahan(Professor Lanahan) was my accounting professor September -December of 2005. I fell in love with her the moment I met her. She was kind, such a beautiful heart...I enjoyed her teaching, she put her students first, she used every minute of the clock, if there was 11 seconds left on the clock, she would say, we have 11 seconds, and we can start the next chapter, and she would. I called her the "energizer bunny". She would come to study groups with us after class to offer extra help. I stayed in touched with her all of this time and looked forward in saying hello to her everyday, for she brighened my day. She was a caring, loving person and a teacher I will always cherish. She met my son, who is also a student, although he was not her student, she treated my son(who has disabilities) as if he was, with loving kindness. Professor Lanahan's memories will stay deeply cherished in my heart, always. I loved her smile, I loved her heart...her beautiful loving caring heart, I will cherish her forever., and was honored to have known such a wonderful person.

Rosemary and I go way back from SCCC, first graduating in 1989 and then returning in 2004 to finish my degree. She refused to let me quit and pushed me to go on. Since my graduation in 2004 she and I became friends emailing each other....she was a wonderful woman and my thoughts and prayers are with her family all of whom I feel I know through her. God Bless

Mrs. Lanahan was my professor and advisor at Schenectady County Community College. She has been very helpful to me as a returning student. She encouraged me to follow my dreams and become an accounting tutor here on campus. I had the opportunity to get to know her a little more due to a death in my family last month. She will be greatly missed as a professor but more so as an individual who made a huge difference on many lives she had molded and inspired. She will be truly missed. May God be with you in your time of need.
With deepest sympathy,
